The Assistive Technology Event will take place at the Tampere Sports& Expo Centre, 11-13 November 2027. The event opens on Thursday with a dedicated Professional Day. On Friday and Saturday, the exhibition is open to both professional and public visitors.
Held every two years, this major industry event showcases products and services that support functional ability, independence, and equal participation. The exhibition features a comprehensive range of assistive technologies, rehabilitation services and accessibility solutions.
The event has a proud history spanning almost 40 years. Since the 1980s, Expomark Oy has organised the Assistive Technology Event together with the Finnish Association of People with Physical Disabilities (Invalidiliitto). Key partners also include the Finnish Paralympic Committee, the Finnish Federation of the Visually Impaired, and the Assistive Technology Division of MedTech Sailab Finland.
The assistive technology sector has evolved significantly over the years and continues to change. Decision-making processes and procurement practices, among other factors, have influenced both the work of industry professionals and the everyday lives of assistive technology users. One thing, however, remains unchanged: people continue to need assistive technologies, rehabilitation services, and accessible solutions.
The Assistive Technology Event showcases the latest innovations and technologies, provides hands-on opportunities to test and compare equipment and devices, and offers valuable knowledge, insights, and perspectives. It is where industry decision-makers, experts, service providers, and assistive technology users come together to meet and build meaningful connections.
The 2025 Assistive Technology Event featured 150 exhibitors and welcomed nearly 8,100 visitors.
